Dr. Cheri Frey is a board-certified dermatologist and assistant professor at Howard University, as well as immediate past chair of the dermatology section of the National Medical Association.
Born in DC as a National Achievement Scholar, she studied initially at Iowa State University, then switched to medicine, earning her degree from Penn State and completing her dermatology residency at the University of Florida, where she was the first Black female resident and chief resident, also earning the Outstanding Resident Teacher Award. Starting as a clinical dermatology assistant professor at the University of Florida, Dr. Frey later joined Advanced Dermatology in DC and has been in private practice before her current role at Howard University.
