A recent case study performed by a team of board-certified dermatologists and hair loss experts determined that nutraceutical gummies – the Xtressé Hair Growth Gummies - can be an effective option for hair regrowth for certain conditions.
Hair loss affects millions of women, with conditions like female pattern hair loss (FPHL) and telogen effluvium (TE) being the most common. By age 50, at least 50% of women experience some degree of hair loss. Nutritional supplements are a popular choice for managing hair health, with 81% of patients in one clinic reporting supplement use. However, a gummy-based nutraceutical treatment had not been clinically evaluated—until now.
The Study
A new case study explored the efficacy of a gummy supplement containing a proprietary blend of NAD+, pumpkin seed extract, taurine, pea protein, ashwagandha, saw palmetto, and other anti-inflammatory ingredients. This blend targets the root causes of hair loss, including inflammation and hormonal imbalances.
Three women aged 43, 52, and 64 with diagnoses of FPHL and TE participated. Each consumed two gummies daily for 2–3 months, with one participant combining the gummies with oral minoxidil. Baseline and follow-up assessments evaluated hair shedding, density, and patient satisfaction.
Promising Results
By the end of the study period, all participants showed noticeable improvements in hair density and reduced hair shedding. They also reported enhanced hair quality, volume, and overall satisfaction with the product. Importantly, no adverse effects were observed, highlighting the safety of the supplement.
Conclusion
This case series suggests that a nutraceutical gummy can be a well-tolerated, effective option for hair regrowth in women with FPHL and TE. The gummy works both as a standalone treatment and in combination with traditional therapies like minoxidil. Its accessible and enjoyable format makes it an appealing solution for those seeking evidence-based hair loss treatments.
Further studies with larger sample sizes are underway to confirm these findings, but this initial research offers hope for a convenient and effective way to address hair loss.
